Surrounding area walks

You can experience the fantastic scenery that Wallingford and the surrounding area has to offer by foot or on two wheels.

Catering for a variety of needs and abilities, these trails offer circular walks of varying lengths in both the countryside and around the town. Each leaflet offers a choice of a few walks from several prime locations. Some of the trails, using bridleways and quieter roads, are also suitable for bicycles.

Free leaflets are available from a number of information points around the town and surrounding area, including the Wallingford Town Information Centre and several local hotels. They can also be downloaded in pdf version from this site. Just click on the area of interest below:

 

Benson and Ewelme

(Four Walks)
Two walks starting in Ewelme, one taking in the historic village and the other venturing into the Chilterns countryside.
Two walks from Benson, one taking in the Thames Path and Warborough and the other to the Berrick Salome.

Cholsey and Brightwell

(Four Walks)
One round the village of Brightwell-cum-Sotwell and one from Wallingford to Brightwell.
Two in Cholsey, the shorter takes in Agatha Christie’s grave and the longer one goes beside the old railway line to Wallingford before returning back through Cholsey village.
